Busted! Terms of Use

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your use of the Busted! mobile application (the "app"). The app is provided by Calibre Kahve Anonim Şirketi, Merkez Mahallesi, Cendere Caddesi No:16-1F, Kağıthane, İstanbul, Türkiye ("we", "us"). By installing or using the app, you agree to these Terms. If you got the app from the Apple App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms conflict with it, these Terms prevail, to the extent the law allows.

1. What Busted! is — and is not

Busted! is a screening aid. It uses your phone's camera, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi (on Android) and a guided checklist to help you look for some common signs of hidden cameras and recording devices.

Busted! cannot guarantee that a room is free of cameras or recording devices. Phones cannot detect every kind of device, for example: - cameras or recorders that use a cellular (SIM) connection, - devices connected to Wi-Fi networks you are not connected to, - cameras that record to a memory card with no lens in view, - audio recorders that send no wireless signal.

This version also does not scan devices on the Wi-Fi network you are connected to. Results depend on your device, the environment and how thoroughly you scan. A "Low risk" result means only that the checks you completed found nothing suspicious. "Investigate" and "High risk" results are not proof that a device exists. Busted! is not a substitute for a professional counter-surveillance (TSCM) inspection or for advice from the police or a lawyer.

2. Acceptable use

You agree to use the app only lawfully and only to protect your own privacy in places you are legitimately staying or using. You must not use the app to: - interfere with, damage or disable any device or network, - access any device or network without permission, - stalk, harass or monitor another person, or locate another person's belongings without a lawful reason, - break the rules of a property, platform or venue in a way that causes harm.

If you think you have found a hidden camera or recorder, don't touch or damage it. Document it, leave if you feel unsafe, and contact the platform, the property and/or the police. The in-app guide explains these steps.

3. Your data

How the app handles information is described in our Privacy Policy: https://busted.coffeecalibre.com/privacy. In short, your scans stay on your device.

4. Free features and Premium

All checks, results and safety guidance are free. Optional Premium features (such as PDF reports for results other than High risk, unlimited history and technical device details) are available through:

Prices are shown in the app and in the store before you buy, and may vary by country.

Billing and renewal (Annual). Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase, or when any free trial ends. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the then-current price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends. You can manage or cancel your subscription in your Apple ID or Google Play account settings. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. If you cancel during a free trial, you won't be charged. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.

Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their policies. This does not affect any rights you have under consumer protection law.

Restoring purchases. You can restore purchases on a new device from Settings or from the Premium screen, using the same Apple ID or Google account.

5. Licence and intellectual property

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your personal, non-commercial use, in line with these Terms and the store's rules. The app, its name, logo and content belong to us or our licensors. Open-source components are licensed under their own licences, which are listed in the app (Settings → Open-source licenses).

6. Disclaimer

To the extent the law allows, the app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. In particular, we do not warrant that the app will detect any particular device, or that it will be uninterrupted or error-free.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss resulting from: - your reliance on a scan result, - a device the app did not detect, - a false alarm, - actions you take, or don't take, based on the app.

Our total liability for any claim relating to the app is limited to the amount you paid us for the app in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including under applicable consumer protection law.

8. Changes and termination

We may update the app and these Terms. If a change is significant, we will tell you in the app. If you keep using the app after a change, you accept the updated Terms. You can stop using the app at any time. We may suspend or end your licence if you seriously breach these Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Türkiye. The courts and enforcement offices of İstanbul have jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, you also keep the protection of any mandatory laws of the country where you live, and you may bring claims before the courts or consumer arbitration committees that those laws allow.
